Our Curriculum for Ages 5 to 11

Students make meaningful connections between subjects by exploring themes and topics from multiple perspectives.

  • Curriculum 5-11

Between the ages of 5 and 11, we build on the 7 key areas of learning and development from the Early Years Foundation Stage by incorporating the strengths of the English National Curriculum with the globally-minded International Primary Curriculum (IPC).

Students are guided through units of work which last between three and six weeks, and learn to approach a variety of topics and issues from different perspectives. Classroom activities are linked with various themes covered in the everyday lessons in the IPC, which helps to further consolidate learning. This gives us the flexibility to challenge our students in all areas of development.

Together, the National Curriculum and the IPC provide a well-defined framework which measures how children are performing in each subject, helping teachers ensure high overall student performance.
