I attended the University of Sussex in 2000 to read Geography. After graduating I moved to Malaga, Spain to work in the family business as a builder. During my time in Spain my passion for teaching developed whilst coaching soccer and rugby to local children, consequently I returned to my native London to complete a PGCE in 2004. After working in both the public and private sector for seven years I decided to broaden my horizons and teach internationally.
Houston now is my third international posting after teaching at Harrow Beijing and our sister school, The British International School of Boston, where most recently, I held the position of Head of Middle School. I am excited to be at BISH as I am an advocate of the contemporary pedagogical approaches used to shape learning. Having experienced the abundance of external opportunities a Nord Anglia Education provides I am excited (as a geography teacher) to develop the Global Goals initiative and continue to encourage students to connect with others across the world using the Global Campus. I have a passion for providing excellent pastoral care and helping students to fulfil their potential in all endeavors.
Outside of the classroom I am an avid sportsman; as a qualified personal trainer, I regularly visit the gym. I follow American sports and having lived in Boston I am of course, a Red Sox and Patriots fan!
