Sophie Hidden gained her BSc (Hons) in Biology at the University of York before working in research at an international pharmaceutical company. She then completed an MRes and PhD in Cellular and Molecular Immunology and Oncology at the Medical School of Birmingham University, where she also undertook research for an international company.
Sophie obtained her PGCE in Secondary Science from the University of Warwick and taught Biology and Science at a large Comprehensive School in North Leeds before moving abroad. Sophie has previously worked at the English International School in Moscow and for the past four years at Dulwich College Beijing in China.
In her free time, Sophie enjoys various sports, including; martial arts, netball, and scuba diving, she was lucky enough to recently dive at Sipadan in Borneo where she saw lots of turtles! Sophie also enjoys foreign films, modern art, good food and international travel, along with long country walks with her parents’ dog Hektor, the Hungarian Wirehaired Vizsla!
