Mr Connor McAlister


Head of Primary PE

BSc Degree (Hons) Exercise & Health Sciences (University of Exeter);  Post Graduate Degree in Education (Manchester Met University)

Connor is in his fourth year at the International School of Kuala Lumpur. Prior to joining us Connor taught at the prestigious Manchester Grammar School in the UK, helping the schools teams to achieve national success across multiple sporting competitions.

Connor has been carrying out leadership roles within Physical Education for the past six years. He has a wide range of teaching experience having taught students from Pre-Nursery to KS5. Connor studied at one of the UK's leading research institutes for Sport, completing his Degree in Sport & Health Science at the University of Exeter. After a brief spell working as a regional manager in the fitness industry Connor completed his Post Graduate Qualification in Education at Manchester University.  Prior to attending the University of Exeter Connor served in the British Armed Forces. 

Since Joining BSKL Connor has helped the school achieved some its best results in local and international competitions while increasing the levels of participation in extra curricular sport across the primary school. 

In his spare time Connor enjoys playing sport, especially football, and following his beloved West Ham United. Connor also enjoys spending time with his family and exploring Asia with his wife and two children.
