Connor served in the British Army before studying Exercise and Sport Sciences at the University of Exeter. After graduating he worked as a Health and Fitness Manager for Fitness First in the U.K. Connor returned to university in 2011 to study towards his PGCE in Physical Education at The Manchester Metropolitan University. He secured a role at The Manchester Grammar School following a successful placement as a student teacher. Initially Connor taught in the secondary P.E department before being promoted to Head of Junior School Physical Education in 2014. During his time at the school he guided teams to numerous successes in football, rugby, cricket, swimming and futsal as well as developing the P.E curriculum and organising numerous sporting events. Connor loves teaching and has enjoyed working with students across a range of key stages. He believes that P.E should be challenging, engaging and fun. Connor is very interested in learning and teaching and enjoys using a range of methods to create stimulating lessons for his students. His aim is to foster a lifelong enthusiasm for sport in those he teaches and to create confident and independent learners. Connor is interested in a wide variety of sports and currently holds sixteen coaching qualifications. He is looking to add more in the future!
Connor enjoys playing a range of sports, but especially football. He has represented his University and Corps football teams as well as playing for a number of amateur teams and is a huge West Ham United fan. Connor was inspired to teach internationally by the opportunity to expose his children to new cultures, explore Asia and further his own teaching experiences. He is delighted to have joined BSKL.
