Student Health & Wellbeing

The health and wellbeing of students comes first at Nord Anglia International School Rotterdam.

Young children playing

We believe children are more likely to succeed if they love coming to school. So we strive to create a safe, friendly and inclusive environment where teachers and other staff understand the emotional and physical needs of each student.

Our core values guide our commitment to your child’s physical health, social competence, and emotional resilience. All these factors contribute to their academic performance.

How does NAISR support your child’s health and wellbeing?

Our aim is that every student in our school feels known, understood, and supported by the community. Elements of school life that enable us to achieve that goal include

  • Our active Student Council (STUCO)
  • The Health, Advisory and Physical Education (HAPE) curriculum
  • The Learning Support department
  • An on site nurse
  • Social and emotional coaching
  • The EAL (English as an Additional Language) department
  • The Student Services Team (SST):
       - social emotional coach
       - school nurse
       - Heads of School
       - liaison with local community and support services

How you can help us care for your child?

You know your child best, so we want to partner with you to give them the best care and provide the right opportunities. Here are three things it’s always helpful to keep us informed about:

  1. Are there any health issues affecting your child or someone close to them?
  2. Is something happening in  your family life  that might influence your child’s behaviour?
  3. Does your child have special interests or hobbies we might not know about?

Our staff are always available to discuss the wellbeing of your child.
