    Laurence Chambers

    Laurence is a French national who lived in Switzerland and England before moving to the Netherlands. She was a Nurse working in Intensive Care in Switzerland and continued her career in Nursing in England.

    Laurence moved to the Netherlands with her family when her children started attending NAISR (AISR). After running the PTSA for a couple of years, she started working at the school as a School Nurse in 2006. She has always been interested in the health and safety of the staff and students and has enjoyed being an active member of the Emergency Response Team at NAISR. After filling the rewarding role of school nurse for ten years at NAISR, her role then evolved in 2017 when she became the HR Officer.

    Now her two children have flown from the nest. Laurence enjoys longs walks with her labradoodle, cooking and traveling to the UK and France to visit and spend time with her children and family.

    Aurora George-Kelso

    Aurora is originally from India but immigrated to the United Kingdom where she spent her early career in High-Tech sector marketing. She subsequently moved with her family to Spain, Belgium and The Netherlands where she currently resides.

    Since leaving the UK, she has been continuously involved in international schools and education, originally as a parent, then in front-office administration and, for the last eight years as Admissions Officer in Rotterdam. In her current role she is the first port of call for all inbound families from initial enquiry through to enrolment.

    Kristen McLeod

    Kristen is a Australian who moved to the Netherlands in 2011 and is now a bi-lingual dual national. She has worked in private schools in both Sydney and Rotterdam and thoroughly enjoys working in a school environment.

    Kristen began working at NAISR in 2012 as a Personal Assistant to the Director. Since then, she has taken on various roles at NAISR, such as the Communications Officer, School Registrar, Co-curricular Program Manager, PowerSchool administrator, and Social Activities Manager.

    Kristen takes great pride in ensuring good communication at NAISR. In her spare time, she loves to sing, travel to Australia as often as possible to see her family and friends, write for her blog, play with her two children, and laugh with friends.

    Kimberly Van Sickle

    Originally from Canada, Kim immigrated to the Netherlands, which she and her family now call home.  Kim has practiced as a registered nurse in a variety of clinical and administrative roles, developing her specialisation in the intensive care environment.

    In addition to the provision of direct patient care, she has been involved with numerous quality improvement initiatives and operational management. Kim joined NAISR in 2017 as the School Nurse and very much enjoys the diversity of her role at NAISR and the challenges that it brings.

    Mihai Miron


    Mihai is originally from Moldova, although he has lived in the Netherlands for the last 7 years. After completing his studies in the Hague, he spent 4 years working in finance, sharpening his skills and experiencing the best of what international environments have to offer. He likes to approach complex situations by brainstorming possible solutions and is naturally attracted to envisioning a variety of future possibilities.

    Mihai joined NAISR in early 2020 as a Finance Officer and is looking forward to continuing to work for Nord Anglia Education in the future. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, travelling and playing chess.

    Maria Teresa Sorondo

    Maria Teresa was born in Caracas, graduated from Venezuela Central University with a Computer Science degree, and worked in the IT department of several private companies as a software developer for 8 years. A 12 month course helped her to improve her high school English, with this course becoming the portal for international relations.

    She moved to São Paulo, Brasil, with her family for three years, arriving in The Netherlands with the new millennium. Being a parent at NAISR (formerly AISR), she began to work as a Library assistant and she is now in charge of this facility at the school. She also works with the administration department doing the Annual Ordering Process, buying materials in NL and beyond borders.

    Maria Teresa has embraced the Dutch culture and has been cycling to work for the last 15 years.

    Rick was born in South Africa and moved to the Netherlands at the age of 6, where he has lived in Pijnacker for almost 25 years with his two beautiful daughters.

    He likes to cook on the Big Green Egg , to travel and hang out with friends. When the weather is good you can find him on his boat or motorcycle.
