    Danielle Mashon

    Danielle is originally from Vancouver, Canada, and has taught in her home province of British Columbia, the sunny island of Geoje, South Korea, the historical city of Vienna, Austria, and now calls The Netherlands home. Danielle has been teaching secondary level Social Studies and English internationally for eight years, and has experience with Fieldwork Education’s IMYC, and the IBO’s MYP and DP. Under her leadership, the International School of Koje in South Korea became the first IMYC Accredited School. Prior to making the leap to international education, Danielle spent five years in research in Indigenous education at a provincial level in British Columbia.

    This is Danielle's third year at NAISR and her second as Head of IMYC. She is keen to develop the IMYC further in the context of NAISR and to promote learning which supports the '5 Needs of the Adolescent Brain,' the scientific and educational research underpinning the IMYC.

    In addition to teaching, Danielle is an experienced associate trainer and accreditor for Fieldwork Education. Since 2018, Danielle has trained more than 15 schools globally, and has written professional learning materials to support schools to implement the IMYC.

  • Rose Vu

    Rose Vu

    English, Social Studies, and Grade 7 Homeroom Teacher

    Rose Vu

    Rose was born in Vietnam and migrated with her family to Australia at the age of 11, where she completed her schooling and University education.

    She started her teaching career in South Korea back in 2010 as an EAL teacher. After almost 4 years of teaching middle school students in Incheon, she moved back to Australia to complete her Master of Teaching. She continued to work as an English, EAL and Social Studies teacher for 4 years in secondary schools in Melbourne, before moving to the Netherlands. She began teaching at NAISR in February 2019.

    Her teaching journey has taught her to continually improve her skills and knowledge as a teacher, to inspire students to become life long learners, and most importantly to build relationships with her students and teaching community. She is very happy to be a part of the NAISR community, where she can pursue her passion for teaching and learning.

    Tenley Elliott

    Tenley is originally from the state of Oregon in the US where she obtained her qualifications in the field of Human Development and Family Sciences with an option in Education.

    As a young exchange student in both Japan and Ecuador, she discovered her passion for traveling and has always had a love of learning. After teaching for a few years in the US, Tenley moved to the Netherlands to start her career in international teaching and learning at NAISR.

    Tenley joined our school as a teacher in the early years program and has since taken on multiple responsibilities. She has taught various grades in elementary, English and EAL in Middle School, and now teaches Health, Advisory, and Physical Education (HAPE) accross all Middle School grades. She is also a Middle School homeroom teacher and is the teacher facilitator for the High School Student Council.

    In addition to teaching, Tenley enjoys coaching multiple sports including volleyball, tennis and fitness.

    Anthony Parks

    Chemistry, Mathematics, and Grade 9 Homeroom Teacher

    Anthony Parks

    Anthony received a Bachelors in Chemistry from St. Olaf College in Minnesota, USA in 2012. The following year he completed his student teaching at Mather High School in Chicago, and continued traveling by teaching in Copan Ruinas, Honduras in 2014. His most recent posts were in Vienna and an island in South Korea, giving him a wealth of cultural and educational experiences to draw from.

    He is happy to be living in Western Europe again, and is looking forward to traveling to historic and cultural sites, and continuing his education over the next few years.

    Tanya Rashed

    Tanya completed her Mathematics degree at the University of Bristol, UK in 2007. After a short stint of working in finance, she embarked on her PGCE and became a fully qualified teacher in 2011. She taught in the UK, Egypt and Luxembourg, before joining NAISR in 2015.

  • Fei Deng

    Fei Deng

    IB Mathematics, IB Physics and Grade 11 Homeroom Teacher

    Fei Deng

    Fei Deng graduated with a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering. She started teaching through the 'Teach for America' program in 2008 in New York City. Fei taught Algebra for four years in New York City, then she moved to Cairo Egypt in 2012 for one year. There she taught Integrated Science and Environmental Science in Secondary school.

    In 2013, Fei moved to the Netherlands and started teaching in NAISR. For the past six years, she has been teaching IB Physics, both standard and higher level. She has also taught IB Math studies, standard and higher level. She is also currently teaching IB Math Analysis and Approaches higher level, as well as secondary science and mathematics at NAISR. Alongside of teaching, Fei is also the head of the Science department.

    IB Economics, Spanish and Grade 12 Homeroom Teacher

    Noemí Castell Devís

    Noemí is originally from Spain where she received her degree in Business Administration and Management. For many years, she worked for different international companies and had various positions of responsibility.

    In 2012, Noemí moved to The Netherlands where she discovered her passion for being a teacher. First, she taught adults and two years later children. During this time, Noemí also obtained her diploma as a Spanish teacher and her Master’s in Secondary Education in the specialties of Business and Economics.

    Her passion, empathy and enthusiasm are present during her IB Economics and Spanish lessons. She feels tremendously lucky and can safely say that she loves and enjoys her work. Noemí feels that there is no better reward than the satisfaction of seeing her students succeed.
