Matt grew up in a small countryside town in England and had always wanted to pursue a career in education. Matt’s journey on this path began at The University of Plymouth, where he was successful in completing a Bachelor of Education degree in Primary Education. From there, Matt took on his first teaching role; working in a multi-cultural school in the centre of Bournemouth. During his time there, Matt developed teaching skills to ensure he always provided a positive learning environment and an engaging education for a diverse cohort of children.
After completing training with The University of Winchester in Middle Leadership in Education, Matt became a Key Stage 1 Phase Leader, finding strengths in leadership and the new aspects of his role.
Matt’s knowledge and expertise in the field has also taken him outside of the UK. Matt was able to teach in Denmark at a Danish primary school. There, he found a passion for travelling and went on to travel extensively around Europe, Africa, Asia, the Caribbean and the United States. He acquired life-changing experiences along the way and felt inspired to continue his journey, aspiring to one day teach in a foreign setting.
