Graduating with a BA from KEA in Denmark in design and commercial production, Theresa moved overseas, first to The Netherlands where she worked in her field for two years, and then to England where she was a buyer for John Lewis, the UK’s largest department store chain. With an entrepreneurial spirit, she launched her own brand with direct responsibilities for marketing and branding strategies. She sold her company in 2011 and relocated to Moldova in Eastern Europe. Here she was a consultant supporting companies with branding strategies, and building bridges between industry and young graduates. She later moved to Nepal where she spent five years working on branding at small enterprises and large factories, B2B, and organizing workshops and training for young women in poverty. After arriving in New York in 2019, Theresa worked as a consultant for UNICEF and on accelerators for young talents in the MENA region. Theresa has always been passionate about education and throughout her career has been involved in supporting access to education for children and youth - especially in counties where lack of access stops many from reaching their potential.
Outside of work, Theresa enjoys crafts, long walks in the many gorgeous New York parks with her giant dog, art exhibitions, and spending time with family and friends discovering new and exciting venues in the city.
