Sean gave valuable advice and insight on how to compose and what life as a composer is like. Regents students joined four other Nord Anglia schools around SE Asia in this webinar and questions ranged from "Is life as a composer really chilled?" to "How do you balance traditional rules of composition and making your own work original?".
Sean finished by saying that we are all composers, on our instruments, whatever instrument that is, if you are "making up something that you have never heard before, you are a composer!" Inspirational words from someone who has made a success of this art.
Sean also gave us some insight into how he will collaborate further with our students. He is writing a piece of music exclusively for Nord Anglia schools and asking for students to compose a 12 measure solo melody for Violin, Cello and Clarinet for which he will provide feedback.
