Upper Primary School Assembly: Chocolate by 3DH and 3RD Class 3RD and 3DH have taken great pleasure in presenting their class assembly about Chocolate to the rest of the Primary school.

They have enjoyed learning about Chocolate during their IPC topic which was the focus for their assembly. They have discovered how chocolate is manufactured and the meaning of fair trade products sold at supermarkets.

In class, the children engaged in discussions about the life of a farmer who works for a fair trade company and those farmers who do not. It was brilliant to see children were very passionate about the arguments they put forward. During art sessions, they created an Aztec-style mask as they had learned that it was with the Aztecs that the history of Chocolate began. The children also attempted to make their own chocolate treats and describe what was most special about them. 3RD and 3DH have thoroughly enjoyed this topic and particularly enjoyed sharing it with their parents and the rest of their school friends.
