IB Biology students enjoyed first educational visit to an Electron Microscope Suite
IBDP Biologists enjoyed their first educational visit of the year to Nanyang University to visit their Electron Microscope Suite. Hosted by Dr. Jason Herrin, students began by enjoying a mini-lecture from Dr. Herrin about the purpose and varieties of electron microscopy techniques. This gave them a taste of what to expect from lectures at university! Students were then given the chance to hold and view rocks, some of which were 80,000 years old. This was followed by a tour, including demonstrations from scientists working in the facility.
A great day was had by all.
