Following the success of the self-driving cars Street Smarts challenge last term, Mr. Baines led a special assembly to introduce the theme for this year – STEAM Superheroes. The children explored the key learning powers of curiosity, creativity and problem solving and met the first MIT Superhero, Epic Identity. Epic Identity, aka Professor Leia Stirling, has asked the children to find out about wearable technology and the impact it is starting to have on our world. The children will be spending part of this week carrying out a range of activities from Nursery to Year 6. Our Year 9s are also taking on the challenge and collaborating with the children in Year 5 and Year 6. We are grateful to the parents who are coming into school to give talks or lead workshops to support us with this challenge.
