The Drama Department was thrilled to welcome actor Jasmin Colangelo to school on Monday for a day of workshops.
Last week GCSE Drama and IB Theatre students went to The Sands theatre to watch Jasmin and the cast perform in the world tour of ‘Matilda the Musical’. The performance was phenomenal, and a wonderful time was had by all. Students were then fortunate enough to meet and participate in workshops led by Jasmin, who plays the role of the Acrobat, is part of the ensemble and understudies the roles of Mrs. Wormwood and Miss. Honey. This was such a fantastic experience for the students who clearly benefitted from Jasmin’s insight and knowledge of the show. The day started with a career talk during which students were given very useful information about the Performing Arts industry. Jasmin then delivered tailored workshops to each different year group on characterisation. We all had a fantastic time and it was amazing to be able to work with Jasmin.
