On Wednesday 26th August the children in our Primary school participated in the first House Day of the year.
The children worked with the other House members in their class to create some wonderful poems. Our youngest students were introduced to the House concept and enjoyed colouring in and drawing pictures according to the house that they are in.
The children in Years 1 and 2 created colour poems, encompassing all four house colours. Children thought carefully about what the colours meant to them and what emotions are linked to different colours.
In Key Stage 2, Years 3 to 6, the theme for the day was ‘What does it mean to be part of a team". There were some fantastic discussions going on and some beautiful poems written!
