Christopher has previous leadership experience in both the UK and internationally and has spent seven very happy years as Deputy Head at the British School of Brussels, a high achieving yet diverse and inclusive international school similar to Dover Court in its approach and philosophy. In the last few years, Christopher has also worked with the University of Buckingham, a leading teacher training provider, to quality assure the progress of trainee teachers. He is very passionate about developing the expertise of teachers through coaching and facilitating self-reflection. Using the very best educational research, Christopher enjoys challenging both himself and others to continue to provide the very best learning opportunities for the children.
Christopher was especially attracted to working at Dover Court because of its inclusiveness and the importance placed on quality relationships between the staff and the children. The school’s commitment to achieving the highest standards of education through fostering ambition and social responsibility is directly in line with Christopher’s own principles. Christopher has previously led on curriculum design with a strong focus on creativity, inquiry and excellence. He has also introduced innovative practice in mathematics, drawing on the very best practice internationally.
Outside of school, Christopher is a keen sportsman and, for as long as his knees hold up, continues to play football and tennis! He is also a dedicated music fan with an encyclopaedic knowledge of good music that most people haven’t heard of! Christopher is joined in Singapore by his wife and teenage daughter.
