Nancy Coxon-Smith

Nancy Coxon-Smith

Year 1 Class Teacher (1NCS)

Since completing her Bachelor of Education degree in Primary Education in 2004 at Chichester University in West-Sussex, Nancy has worked within a number of schools, both in the UK and in the international sector and within both mainstream and Special Educational Needs schools.

Nancy's first teaching post was at an ‘Outstanding’ Special Needs school in the UK, where she worked across the Key Stages, from EYFS through to Key Stage 3. During these four years she worked with a wide variety of children and needs.

Nancy then went on to work in a range of international schools around the world, including both in the UAE and China, where she worked with children with EAL and held workshops on dealing with cultural differences.

Nancy has been working across both Key Stages 1 and 2 within Nord Anglia schools for the past seven years and has enjoyed every minute of it. Nancy is passionate about creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment that allows each child to reach their potential. Nancy will be moving from being a founding member of a team at NAS Dubai, to join her professional colleagues in Singapore at DCIS.

Outside of school, Nancy is an avid reader and passionate about travel. Give her a book, a rucksack and some teabags and she is a very happy lady! Nancy is very keen on sport, especially swimming and running and hopes to complete her first full marathon this year.
