Sam’s teaching career began in the UK in her home county of Surrey where she taught in a large infant school. As well as being a Year 2 class teacher, she was also the PSHE and Healthy Schools Lead, as well as Anti-Bullying Coordinator. Sam most enjoys teaching in KS1 and always ensures that her students are engaged, nurtured and enjoying their learning. Sam has completed the National PSHE CPD Programme and this is a curriculum area that she is particularly passionate about. She believes that children should be equipped with the skills to succeed not only academically but also socially and emotionally. Being a keen reader herself, Sam enjoys fostering a love of reading with the children in her class, providing a range of opportunities for children to engage with books and texts.
Sam has also led holiday camps where she enjoyed developing games and activities designed to keep children active and to have fun.
In her spare time, Sam enjoys exercising at the gym, relaxing with a good book, as well as spending time with friends. She has previously travelled through Australia and South-East Asia, and enjoys exploring more of Singapore’s surrounding countries.
