Kerrie-Ann began her teaching career in Liverpool where she taught French and Spanish from Year 7 to Year 11. Working in a highly successful MFL department nurtured Kerrie-Ann’s passion for developing languages and encouraging young adults to use them in real life contexts such as trips to Milan, China, Paris, Elgoibar and Munich. Through her time in Liverpool Kerrie-Ann was also fortunate to spend three months in China teaching English and learning Mandarin. From Liverpool, Kerrie-Ann then went on to work in the Cayman Islands where she became Head of Modern Foreign Languages which has provided her with invaluable leadership experience. She has taught Spanish and French from Year 7 to Year 13. During her time in the Cayman Islands, Kerrie-Ann went to Chicago with Model United Nations club and Costa Rica for Spanish enrichment with Year 10s.
As well as working in the languages department at Dover Court Kerrie-Ann is also a Pathways 2 mentor. Working with students to ensure they reach their full potential has always been important for Kerrie-Ann and is a part of her job that she thoroughly enjoys.
Outside of school Kerrie-Ann enjoys playing Gaelic football, baking and spending time with friends. She also enjoys exploring new places in whichever country she is living and trying new food. Kerrie-Ann has also recently started learning Portuguese.
