Jess graduated from the University of Portsmouth with a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Science. On leaving University, she went on to work for the London Wildlife Trust, leading and training teams of volunteers in the rewilding and restocking of some of London’s damaged rivers. An experience that inspired Jess to become an educator, and two years later, she obtained her PGCE in Secondary Geography from The University of Reading.
