Elizabeth developed a passion for language and travel from an early age. She studied and
worked in Nice, France for the third year of her degree and after graduating she spent a year
in Japan teaching English. With a love for teaching established, Elizabeth returned to the UK
to complete a PGCE in Primary Teaching specialising in French.
Elizabeth's teaching career began in West London where she taught in a large Primary
school. As well as being a classroom teacher, she was also the French Coordinator and
established the teaching of French to all pupils across Key Stages 1 and 2.
From early on in her career, Elizabeth gained valuable experience teaching a diverse range
of learners, including those with additional learning needs. After taking a career break to
have her family, Elizabeth went to work at a Community Special School for pupils with
moderate to severe learning difficulties. This experience helped to shape her teaching
philosophy that each student learns in their own unique way and she is committed to
enabling each child to achieve their full potential.
In her spare time, Elizabeth enjoys discovering all that Singapore has to offer with her
husband and 3 young children. She is also a keen tennis player and enjoys playing piano.
