Prior to joining Dover Court, Bethany worked as a class teacher in Primary schools in Buckinghamshire, England where she worked predominantly in Year 1 and Year 4. Bethany also spent time working as a Mindfulness Teacher for Children alongside her traditional teaching work. In addition to this, Bethany worked in a small team as Maths Coordinator to deliver a new syllabus. Bethany found the process to be both an enjoyable and challenging experience.
With her adventurous nature, Bethany really sees the value in outdoor activities which has been reflected in her involvement in adventure trips in her previous class teacher roles.
She has a real passion for wellbeing as well as nurturing young people in emotional resilience. Further to her work in Mindfulness, Bethany took on the role of Growth Mindset Lead in her previous school. This work helps her to engage her students in taking a more positive approach to both learning and their lives in general.
Outside of school, Bethany enjoys travelling, fitness and hiking. Alongside her love for travel, Bethany has also enjoyed participating in wildlife conservation work. Her most recent project was working with village communities in Sri Lanka to help encourage positive relationships with elephants.
