Year 4 Class Teacher, 3/4/5CE (Full Time)

Caroline holds an Honours degree in Law with French from Manchester Metropolitan University. As part of her degree, she spent a year in France as an English assistant in a French lycée and this is where she developed an interest in teaching. She then completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Primary Education at The University of London, Institute of Education.

Originally from the south east of England, Caroline worked at two primary schools in London where she taught in Reception and Year 1. After taking a career break to have her family, she then went on to teach at an outstanding special needs school in Surrey where she gained a wealth of experience teaching a diverse range of learners in Key Stages 2 and 3. Caroline has co-ordinated a number of subjects in her teaching career including English, history and R.E. and has held a teacher governor position.

Caroline is dedicated to meeting the individual needs of the pupils in her care and encouraging them to be the best they can be.  She is passionate about creating a nurturing classroom environment and seeing the  positive impact on pupils’ learning and wellbeing.

As a firm believer in lifelong learning, Caroline more recently attained a certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of other Languages and has worked in a part time role teaching English online.

In her spare time Caroline enjoys genealogy, swimming, yoga, and hiking. She has spent several summers walking El Camino Santiago in northern Spain. She also enjoys learning about other cultures and has travelled and explored Europe, North America and parts of the Middle East. She has two grown up daughters in their twenties.
