Sarah Webster

Sarah Webster

Year 4 Class Teacher, 4SW (Full Time)

Sarah graduated from Keele University with a BA in Education Studies and English Literature, and then moved to Manchester for graduate studies. Following four years volunteering in a local school, she completed her PGCE in Primary Teaching at the University of Manchester.

Since qualifying, Sarah has taught across Manchester as well as in China and rural Northamptonshire in Years 2 to 6. An interest in literacy and numeracy learning difficulties has led her to special education teaching. She has supported children with various educational needs, teaching both academic and social skills. She is passionate about using multi-sensory activities as part of her teaching to support children in their learning. Her classroom is an inclusive, supportive space, where children are celebrated and supported with all aspects of their learning.

Sarah is passionate about supporting students with their academic learning through a whole child approach. In China, she ran a popular playground games club that encouraged children to develop their physical and social skills, whilst having fun. During lessons, Sarah tries to balance laughter with learning to encourage children to enjoy all aspects of school life.

Away from school, Sarah enjoys being active through pilates, hiking and swimming. She is herself keen to learn; her particular interests are finding out more about education and learning Chinese. She is also a keen traveller, happily exploring locally and internationally.
