Ellice Gamby

Ellice Gamby

Year 6 Class Teacher, 6EG (Full Time)

Ellice graduated from Kingston University with a BA (hons) degree in Primary Teaching and spent the first six years of her career teaching in Hertfordshire. During her time at Kingston University, Ellice was also a member of the social community helping to organise events and fundraisers for the university.

Ellice has taught Years 3 and 6, as well as held the role of maths lead, introducing and implementing new strategies across the school.  She has also enjoyed organising sports and PE across the primary school running netball, cricket, tag-rugby and cross country teams. As the PE lead at her school Ellice helped to implement new strategies to get children moving and help develop a love of health and fitness.

Ellice believes that children thrive in a positive environment built on mutual respect. She aims to create an exciting and engaging environment for the pupils in her class so that they develop a love of learning that they can carry with them wherever they go. Ellice’s hope for the children is that they become confident and happy individuals who will go on to inspire others.

Out of school, Ellice volunteers as a netball and sports coach at an inclusive sports company often working alongside children with a range of additional needs. She is excited to be part of the Dover Court community.
