Last Sunday marked my first opportunity to participate in the Hilton Christmas Brunch. It was a very positive and enhancing experience. Wonderful food and outstanding entertainment from the school choirs and the jazz band made for a magical afternoon amongst other members of the school community. Enormous thanks go to Mr and Mrs Porter and all the other staff who have worked hard with our students to bring us such top-notch performances.
Events like the Hilton Brunch, the Christmas Fair, Fireworks night and the Quiz night, all bring our school community together, something so important in the life of any school but particularly an international school. Many families come and join the school for only a short period of time while others are with us for many years. Regardless of time spend at the school, events like the Hilton Brunch define the school and its community and allow us to grow from strength to strength every year.
Following on from the Hilton Brunch, we have more musical entertainment for you at our Christmas Concert on Thursday. Please join us for an evening of festive fun, with performances by the Primary, Secondary and Community choirs, the Jazz Band and the FilmHarmonic Orchestra.
I also look forward to seeing many of you at our annual Christmas Fair tomorrow. If you haven’t already done so, please don’t forget to buy your raffle tickets from the PTA - there are plenty of fantastic prizes to be won.
Dr Kennard is sorry he is not able to join us at these special events but he is in regular contact with the senior leadership team at school and he is delighted that the Hilton Brunch was a great success. I am sure you will join me in wishing him all the best with his medical treatment in the UK and we look forward to having him back with us early next year.
