Green Camps start this weekend

17 June 2014

Green camp is fast approaching for all year 7-10 students. For many students, and staff, this is one of the best weeks of the year.

Year 7 and 8 will be traveling to Serwy on Sunday 22 June  at 12 pm and Year 9 and 10 are heading to Tarda at 1pm on the same day. It will be six days of outdoor activities based including water sports, cycling, high ropes courses and orienteering. Students will be provided with all meals but you may wish to give them a small amount of money to buy some ice creams or other snacks during the day. Please remember to also pack light weighted layered clothing as the days will be worm but the evenings may be quite cool. Water proofs are also important as these activities will run rain or shine. Mosquito repellent, sunscreen, and a hat are also essential.

The students will be allowed to bring their mobile phones but they must not use them during the day. The purpose of Green Camp is to get away from the trappings of modern technology and bond as a group participating in outdoor activities. They may use their phones at night before they go to bed to call home but they are not to be seen by the staff. If they are, they will be confiscated and kept until we return to Warsaw.

Year 7 and 8 should be back at school on Friday 27 June at 3:00 pm and Year 9 and 10 should be back by 3:30 pm on the same day. Please check Moodle for a detailed list of what to bring and other details about the trip.

If you have any questions about Green camp please email Mr Snape (Year 7 and 8) or Ms Ellis (Year 9 and 10).
