King Lear screening as presented by National Theatre Live

20 June 2014

On Tuesday 17th June, at 18:00, students from Key Stage 3 at The British School, Warsaw had the opportunity to attend a performance of ‘King Lear’ at Multikino Złote Tarasy as presented by the National Theatre Live.

The four-hour production stretched student endurance to the full and not everyone found the heady combination of political machination, paternal anguish, bloodsplatter and Shakespearian English to be a particularly easy combination. However, all who attended found it to be a unique, exhilarating and original experience that brought the 400 year-old-story screaming into our dark, war-torn modern world.
