Dear all,
The Commonwealth Games competition in artistic gymnastics is over for Peppijna. She took part in the team and individual apparatus competition last Monday. Peppijna performed her routines beautifully as she prepared well for them. Of course the other teams/ gymnasts are much more experienced. This includes teams and gymnasts from such as England, Wales, Canada, Australia, Malaysia, Scotland, India, New Zealand, South Africa and more....
Having said that Peppijna was very focused, confident and most if all, very happy. After her competition she called me and said,"mum when I was running for my vaulting, I felt like I was running on top of the world!" This is because the equipment was on a podium. The competition area a was made in a way that the gymnasts couldn't see the spectators and the judges weren't even next to her.
I just wanted to share how excited we all were during this special time.
This wouldn't have been possible without your support as individuals and as a school. Thanks to the The British School, Warsaw for understanding Pep's talent. I would also like to give a special thanks to Ms. Miriam Martin for changing Pep's mind at the right time. Originally she didn't want to take part since it was her IGCSE'S year.
THANKS MS. MARTIN.
Hope you are all enjoying your summer holidays!!!
Yours in sports,
Stephania
