News from Deputy Principal, Dr Jacek Latkowski

19 January 2015

I would like to express my sincere and best wishes for a Happy New 2015 to all members of our TBS community.  Let it be healthy, wealthy and wise for all of us while The British School, Warsaw grows bigger and better in every aspect. This growth is only possible with your continued support that is so greatly appreciated.

Congratulations to Year 13 and Year 11 students who have just completed their mock exams.  A lot of hard work and many hours in the sport’s hall went into this important test of students’ potential prior to the actual exams.  Based on my experience, I can say that mock exams represent a good indication of student’s ability and the future IB and IGCSE results. I am sure that for some students, mock exams will serve as a confidence booster while for others they will represent a wake-up call before starting to work really hard during the remaining 4 months.

In order to celebrate 100 days separating Year 13 students from their May Exams, a traditional Polish Party called „Studniowka” will again take place at The British School, Warsaw, organised at the school on Saturday, January 24th.  I hope that all students have already started their polonaise dancing lessons …
