LEAP Programme

08 January 2016

Many thanks to all the parents and students who signed up for LEAP clubs this term by the deadline, it really does help a lot with organisation.  LEAP clubs are due to start next week (from Monday 11th January).  The sign up lists will be up by the end of the school day on Friday 8th January (on a board in reception for primary and next to 108 for secondary).  If your child is on the list for any external clubs you MUST see Grazyna Sikorska to sign disclaimer forms or your child will not be allowed to participate.  Additionally, your child will not be allowed to participate in a club if they are not on the sign up list unless it has been approved by myself, Ms Sikorska or the club leader involved.  If you have any queries regarding sign ups please contact me and I will do my best to assist you.

REMINDER:  Some clubs will not be running on the 11th-15th January or 1st-5th February because of exams.  These include:

Unihoc (Y4-6 boys)

Martial Arts (Y5-8)

Cricket (Y7-11)

Ultimate Frisbee (Y7-13)

Martial Arts (Y2-3)

Athletics (Y2-6)

Ballet (Y2-6)

Trampoline (Y3-8)

Mini-tennis (Y2-3)

Please remind your children to wrap up warmly when participating in outdoor clubs.  Also please keep an eye on the LEAP Moodle page as outdoor clubs may be cancelled at very late notice due to bad weather.

·         The clubs mentioned above won’t be running from 1st-5th of February not just 1st-4th February as stated in previous communication.

·         Please note Friday Film clubs 1 (Y4-6) and 2 (Y2-3) will both finish at 3.45pm on Fridays.

·         Thursday’s drawing and sketching club (Y2-3) will also end at 3.45pm.

·         Athletics is only a 7 week course not a 12 week course

The LEAP program is continuing to grow and is including an increasing number of new clubs and opportunities for your children.  Thank you for encouraging them to get involved and I look forward to seeing them enjoy their selected activities this term.
