NAE volleyball tournament in Budapest

Last weekend Mr. Lennon, Ms. Szyperska and Mr. Kienhuis took the U19 girls and boys volleyball teams to their NAE volleyball tournament in Budapest

It started with a beautiful bus ride through the Tatra mountains on Thursday morning. The girls competed against schools from Budapest, Prague, Madrid, and Bratislava. The boys were facing strong teams from Budapest, and Bratislava. During the tournament the girls from TBS were cheering for the TBS boys team, and when the girls were playing then the boys were cheering loudly for the girls. There was a great sense of Sportsmanship and all the games were very close in points.

On Friday evening the volleyball teams enjoyed the local culture and visited the Christmas market in the center of Budapest. And after two days of volleyball games with high level of volleyball the girls ended up in 4th place and the boys took home the 3rd place trophy.

Both teams showed excellent sportsmanship and represented TBS in the best way possible. They were ambitious in trying to reach the finals, and showed resilience when things didn't turn to their benefit. The coaches are very proud on both teams both for their efforts and commitment, moreover, for their fun and wonderful spirit during the whole trip!
