Message from Head of IB

As we get closer to Christmas, it is easy to focus on the upcoming that holidays that seem like just around the corner.

  • IB new 2

For our Year 13 students, the final weeks of this term bring their final set of mock exams before their actual examinations in May 2020. In lessons across all areas of the curriculum, they have been working closely with staff on revision topics and the all-important past-papers.

Mock exams give students a snapshot of where they are at that time in the course. For some mock examinations are the added boost they need to motivate them to work that little bit harder in the final full term. For others it is further evidence of their hard work and a tangible feeling of “getting there”. What is important is that these mock exams are put into context – they are part of the learning process and a mark of where students are in their own learning.

The very best of luck to all taking exams next week.
