A Concert in Support of the Warsaw Volunteer Mission

At the end of last half term, a rock concert was staged in the IB Learning Centre to raise awareness of and food donations for, the Warsaw Volunteer Mission.

Concert IB

The event was planned and organised by Year 13 students Patrick and Masahiro as a CAS project. ‘Ticket’ entry was secured by food donations and students right through from Years 7 - 12 who contributed food, and also some teachers, were able to enjoy a great live performance during the last lesson of the day.

Two bands performed at the concert, - the Year 10 ‘band with no name’ (pictured) played rousing rock and Veronica and  Alice offered a smoother duet to soften the tone.

Refreshments were provided courtesy of Patrick’s Mum and these proved to be very popular! The substantial food donation – seen here in a photo with Patrick and Mashiro - will be collected by the Warsaw Volunteer Mission and distributed to help economically disadvantaged families. Thank you very much to all those who donated food and supported the concert, to Mrs Fox for allowing the event to go ahead and especially to Mr Roiko who helped to organise the musical performance.
