Two visits from university reps this week

This week we have been fortunate to host two highly informative visits from university reps.

On Wednesday, Hannah and Tony from the University of the Arts in London talked at length to students from Years 10 – 13 about courses in Art, Design, Fashion, Media, Animation and Architecture and about the expectations for student portfolios. Evidently, the quality of the portfolio is a major factor for admissions tutors to consider in the majority of arts-based courses. On Thursday, Greg Albrecht from Maastricht University gave an excellent presentation followed by Q&A for students on the programmes available at Maastricht, but also some more general information about studying in the Netherlands. Rep visits are routinely advertised via Firefly (messages and tasks) and on posters in the IB building; it is great to see more and more students taking advantage of rep visits - all from Years 10 – 12 are strongly encouraged to attend.
