Nord Anglia Competitions

In order to develop the competitive sporting opportunities across all age groups, with the support of Mr Yorath, we have invited all of the Directors of Sport from our sister schools in the European region to Warsaw. Part of the purpose of their visit is to create a 2 year calendar of Nord Anglia sporting fixtures with a commitment from schools to attend where possible. I hope to be able to share the outline of a calendar for the next academic year before we break up for the summer.

Sports Days

Dates as follows:

  • Monday 3rd June – Year 1&2 (AM) & Year 3&4 (PM)
  • Tuesday 4th June – Year 5&6
  • Monday 17th June – Early Years (Dabrowskiego, not including Year 1)
  • Monday 24th June – Secondary

PE Kit

The new PE kit for next year is now available to purchase on line. As previously communicated the school PE kit will be compulsory for all students on the Limanowskiego site from September for all PE lessons.

  • Primary students are required to wear the T-shirt with the sleeves in the colour of their house and school shorts. Tracksuits are also available for outside wear.
  • Secondary students are required to wear the navy blue T-shirt and any of the TBS bottoms of their choice.
  • There are a number of optional items that can also be purchased.

Thank you to the PTA who kindly supported with the process of ordering PE kit this week.

TBS Hurricanes Logo Competition

The TBS Hurricanes have been competing in and around Warsaw as well as on the international scene and we would now like to develop the logo. We are inviting entries from students for the design of our new logo for the Hurricanes, I’ve included some examples from other schools below.

  • Coyotes
  • Tigers
  • Comets

The logo should include the name (Hurricanes) and also the school name (either The British School Warsaw or TBS). Entries should be handed to your son/daughters class teacher or form tutor by Friday 7th June. The marketing team will use the winning entry as the stimulus in designing the final logo which will appear on future branding, kit and also around the sports department and facilities.

Many thanks for your ongoing support of the sports programme.

Kind Regards,

Louis Fearn
Director of Sport
