Message from Head of Secondary

Wow, Wow and Wow!

Difficult to put in any other words the exceptional sight of our students on stage at the Poskie Radio Hall on Wednesday night.

Secondary Rock Band Summer Gala

Ever since, the emails have been streaming in to say what a wonderful night it was. The is no doubt that the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves and threw their all into it. Their energy and enthusiasm was palpable. Special thanks go to them, their parents and of course the team of teachers and administrators who made it all possible in the first place. We are looking forward to more of the same next year!

On another note, our Year 9s this year had a truly thought-provoking presentation from George Elbaum a Warsaw-born Holocaust survivor. It is difficult to talk to teenagers about the Holocaust in a way that is both sensitive and frank, but Mr Elbaum spoke candidly and sensitively and totally captured our students’ attention. Thanks go to Mr Bridges and the History department for arranging this visit.

Looking ahead, we have Nord Anglia Regional STEAM Festival approaching as well as short residentials for our Secondary students the week of 17th June. The weather is certainly hotting up so don’t forget there is a Secondary summer uniform on the uniform supplier’s website where white polo shirts and shorts can be purchased …. and more importantly, worn up until the end of September!

Have a lovely weekend.
