International competitions and events
Please see below some dates for your diary of our NAE international sporting competitions including the exciting U15 Global Games to be hosted in Abu Dhabi.
U19 Football, 11th – 12th October 2019, Budapest
U19 Volleyball, 29th – 30th November 2019, Warsaw
U15 Global Games, 26th February 2020 – 2nd March 2020, Abu Dhabi
U14 Football and Basketball, 19th – 21st March 2020, Budapest
U19 Basketball, 27th – 28th March 2020, Budapest
U11 Football and Basketball, 18th – 19th May, Dublin
These dates and venues are subject to minor changes and further details regarding each competition will be issued closer to the individual events. In order to represent better value for money, the European Directors of sport have agreed to develop the programme of these tournaments to include a social activity and as a school, we will be endeavoring to ensure that the only costs charged to parents are for pupil transport and accommodation.
In addition to the above, we have planned some tournaments against other independent schools in Poland, we will continue to compete in the Mokotow district competitions where appropriate and also prepare for competitions with a range of friendly fixtures.
The department will also be organising the following whole school events.

I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to join us at any of our fixtures, tournaments or events in order to support the TBS Hurricane squads and students.
Clubs and practices
The full list of clubs and their days will be issued within the next 2 days and will contain a balance of competitive and recreational sport.
Within the Secondary section, there is an element of a seasonal approach to allow for a wider range of activities for more students during the week. In order to begin the selection of squads and to allow for students to be directed to the correct club for their stage, we will be running the following activities on the week commencing Monday 9th September. Please note that the full schedule will contain a full range of sports including social and recreational options.

If students wish to take part in these activities then they should arrive at the PE department and change into their PE kit. Arrangements should be made for getting home safely after the sessions.
We have an exciting year ahead and I look forward to meeting you all on the side of pitch or court supporting our young sports students in their enjoyment of Sport at The British School Warsaw.
