Message from Our Principal

Dear Parents,

Despite some of our year groups learning from home this week,

I am happy to say that many excellent activities have still taken place which have celebrated both the exit points for IPC topics and International Week. Teachers welcomed students both in person and also remotely for those unable to attend school and I have been delighted to see that some of our parents have also participated.

It was a pleasure to see Year 2 arrive at school on Thursday, dressed ready for a day in the circus! We welcomed clowns, magicians, strong men, hula-hoop performers and ring masters to name but a few and as the day unfolded, the performers delighted with their tricks and skills. Then today we saw a tremendous splash of colour as our primary community proudly arrived in their national costumes or colours of their country flag.  Our truly diverse community of learners exchanging their cultures and celebrating their identities is always a special occasion. It is my hope that we will be able to revisit our international celebrations at a later date this academic year when we can all come together as a whole community.

As we close for our half-term break, I would like to wish you all a safe, enjoyable and restful holiday.

Sue Hill
