TBS Warsaw staff in Biegnij Warszawo

Following an annual tradition, six members of TBS staff took part in Biegnij Warszawo last weekend, a 10 km running event based in Warsaw.

Although diminished in number because of Covid restrictions and injury, the group were rewarded with a beautiful sunny day for the third year in a row, as the route took in scenic Łazienki Park and one of the few hills in Warsaw, the daunting Al. Ujazdowskie!  Even though it was October, it still felt almost too hot to run at times, but Ironman veteran Andy Bell came first with a time a little over 50 minutes; I’m pleased to report that the remaining group also made it to the finish line (and the pub) in one piece.  A big thank you to Miss Sawday, Mr Walder, Mr & Mrs Prokic for their vocal support, very much appreciated.

The weather outlook for next year is good, so we’d like to encourage any other members of the TBS community to get ready and join in in 2021, when we also look forward to the return of a new “bionic” Bas Kienhuis to the team!
