Today we are pleased to meet Joseph McConnell, who is our Year 6 Learning Leader


Where are you from originally?

Largs, a seaside town on the west coast of Scotland

Have you lived in any other countries?

Russia and China

What did you study and where? 

I studied Primary Education at the University of Strathclyde and Inclusive Education at the Open University

How long have you been at TBS?

One half term!

What do you enjoy most about teaching at our school?

The eagerness to learn demonstrated by students (and staff!)

What are you most looking forward to in the 2020/2021 academic year?

Green camp (fingers crossed)

 Who is your favourite historian/scientist/literary figure and why?

 I love reading about history and particularly the history of Eastern Europe. I enjoy the work of Serhii Plokhy as he writes extensively about Europe in the late 80s and 90s in an engaging way.

 What is your favourite thing about living in Warsaw?

The architecture and ease of transport

 What do you miss most from home?

Being able to visit my grandparents
