...although two school trips meant that a number of our students and staff had had a more unusual half term break. The senior school snow sports trip enjoyed some fantastic skiing in Switzerland and great progress was made. Meanwhile, thousands of miles away, a group of senior students accompanied by Mr Lennon and Mrs Szachnowska took up the huge challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro; no mean feat and certainly something which took true grit. Although they were not able to reach the summit due to bad weather, the challenge in itself taught them a great deal and the determination they showed was incredible. Our thanks go to the staff who took the children away for the half term but also to parents for supporting our trips’ programme.
