Have a look at some of our photos below.

In the meantime, take a minute to read the profiles of our two new committee members: Jenny & Jo!

Finally, please note that we have a new TBS PTA Buy & Sell page on Facebook! This is a group for TBS community members to sell/buy/give away their own pre-loved items. It is NOT a place for commercial selling or advertising. This page will replace the PTA weekly bulletin.

Kind regards,

Your PTA committee

Jenny Hughes - PTA Secretary

Where would you call home?

I am from the UK, I was born in London and then moved to Hornchurch in Essex.

What Languages can you speak?

I can read and speak a small amount of Korean, enough to order food and give directions to a taxi driver!

What brings you to Warsaw and what was your journey to get here?

My husband works for the British Embassy and we arrived in Warsaw in August 2019.  We came from Seoul, South Korea, where we lived for 4 years.

Who have you got at school here?

Edward who is in Year 3 Caterpillars.

Any other children?

Any Pets?

We have 2 cats called Charlie and Lola.

How did you get involved in the PTA?

I volunteered at Edwards last school in Seoul and really enjoyed it so I wanted to get involved here.  I went along to PTA meeting when we first arrived and it went from there.

What do you do in the PTA?

I am on the charity committee and also the PTA Committee Secretary.

Best thing about volunteering with the PTA?

The best thing is getting to know lots of lovely people and being more involved with the school.

What would you say to somebody thinking about volunteering for the PTA?

Come along to one of the open PTA meetings, see what goes on and get involved.

Whats your favourite thing to do with your family in Warsaw?

We like to go out and explore new places.  We are looking forward to the warmer weather when we can do lots more.

Can you tell us a joke?

Knock knock.

Who’s there?

Cow who?

Cows don’t say who, they say Moooo!

English and I always try and learn some basic words when we move to a new country.

What brings you to Warsaw and what was your journey to get here?

My husbands job has transported us around the world during the last 10 years. We left Tokyo in December 2019  en route to Canada for Christmas and then arrived in Warsaw early January 2020.

Who have you got at school here?

Millie in Year 7 and Erin in Year 6.

Any other children?

Depends if you count my husband and dog, sometimes it’s like looking after 4 kids at home!!!

Any pets?

Yes! Hudson our chocolate Labrador.

How did you get involved in the PTA?

When I arrived at TBS, the mums welcomed me within days of the children starting in school and I wanted to be part of such a friendly team.

What do you do with the PTA?

I think I’m the newest member so I’m waiting to see how I can help.

Best thing about volunteering with the PTA?

Knowing what’s happening in school and being able to participate in the PTA community.

What would you say to somebody thinking about volunteering for the PTA?

Do it!

Whats your favourite thing to do with your family in Warsaw?

We enjoyed skating in the Old Town in the New Year. Also finding a great gluten free cafe was great!

So he could go to High School 😂
