Fitness, Commitment & Ability showcased by Secondary PE Students

The PE department have been greatly impressed with all the pupils efforts in their PE lessons this week.

  • PE 1
  • PE 2
  • PE 3
  • PE 4

We have seen some great examples of excellent fitness, commitment and ability to think outside the box from our pupils.

Year 7 have continued to work on their leadership skills and have been busy designing their own games that improve precision using house hold items. Next week they will get to try each others games out.

Year 8 have been working on developing their fitness through completing their own HIIT work out. This is in preparation for next weeks challenge of 'beat the teacher'. If you want to get a head start and get in some extra practice please check out the PE YouTube channel here.

Year 9 have learnt about what Muscular Endurance is and have participated in a HIIT workout. They then had the opportunity to design their own HIIT and have been tasked with trying to complete this at some point before next lesson.

KS 4 have continued with a personalised curriculum where they have opted to follow either developing their cardiovascular and muscular endurance fitness through a variety of workouts or they have taken part in different fitness classes, this week they tried out some yoga.

A family challenge for the weekend from the PE department is to record your daily step counts and see who can achieve the most steps over the weekend. Enjoy and remember to keep active. For ideas check out the PE YouTube channel.
