Pendulum in Secondary

Pre-IB Physics students were asked to set up a simple pendulum experiment and to record the time of 20 cycles (swings) of the pendulum for different lengths of the string.

Thus the students were able to calculate the period (time) of each cycle.  Plotting period^2 versus length of the string allows to calculate the g value - gravitational  acceleration.  Students hope that their results will be as close as possible to real value (9.81 m/s^2).
