Message from our Head of Secondary

After an extremely intense and unprecedented final half of the Spring term, teachers particularly were relieved to have some time out over the Easter break to regroup and plan for this term.

Parent Voice

I hope you also had a safe and relaxing break. We therefore began this week ready to step up our provision again based on valuable feedback from parents, students and staff.

An exciting development was our newly devised and bespoke provision for Year 11 & 13 students. Normally now in the early stages of sitting external examinations we wanted to be sure that they were learning in a rigorous, engaging and developmental way ready to take skills learned now on to their IB Diploma experience or their university or beyond experience.

It has been wonderful to see all these learners so engaged whether it was having over 60 students in a start of term assembly, almost 60 watching a life skills live baking session or hearing the enthusiasm with which they are talking about earning badges through the iDEA programme or the Critical Thinking & Academic Writing lessons or the MOOCS they have chosen.

All of the above says so much about our students and our community. We are grateful for all the very measured and constructive feedback you have sent in and are, as always, intent on ensuring we weave this back into our provision to make it even better.

That said, the Virtual Parent Voice meetings begin next week according to the schedule below. Please join us through the link which I will be sending out over the next few days.

We look forward to hearing your views.

Have a lovely, long weekend.
