Natural Life Cycles in Nursery

In recent weeks in the Nursery we have been looking closely at the natural life cycles around us in our environments.

  • Life Cycles 1
  • Life Cycles 2

We have not only considered the life cycles of animals such as frogs, butterflies and chickens but we have also thought about the life cycle and growth of plants.

'The Tiny Seed' was a great provocation for our investigation into this as we followed the journey of the tiny seed throughout the year and growing into a giant plant!

The Nursery children are already familiar with some of the things needed to grow plants and this has been put into practice at home with many of the children successfully growing their own flowers, plants, fruits and vegetables!

It has been wonderful to see the children sharing their horticultural successes with photographs, videos and especially during our live Zoom sessions!
