PTA TBS Magic Giving Tree - Update and additional requests

Call for the outdoors: help 100 children in need

giving tree 1

Thanks to your generosity, Fundacja Pankracy is buying laptops and computers for the children’s homes. Please see more details below.

Under the Covid-19 restrictions, it is unlikely the children in the homes will get away during the summer holiday break.  We would like to keep them physically active and healthy in their gardens. The things they need include boxing gloves, sleeping bags, tourist mats, a swing and a trampoline.

Please have a look at the pdf file below for the list.

If you wish to help, you can do this by staying at home and:

  • donating cash to the Pankracy Foundation for this cause. They will buy the items for the children. The bank account set up specifically for our school is Fundacja Św Pankracy 47 1600 1462 1029 8074 1000 0002
  • or buying an item from the wish list and delivering it directly to the children’s home. To avoid double purchases and get the home’s address, please contact Dorota Stano from Fundacja Pankracy. Her contact details are below.

Thanks to your donations and the excess from the Christmas Giving Tree initiative, 4 laptops, 4 tablets and 1 printer will be delivered to 6 homes during the next week. Several generous families have also sent incredible packages to the homes with computer games, puzzles, disinfectant gels and washing powder. The photo shows teenagers in a home in Drelów (Lublin province) appreciating their newly delivered PSP console and computer game.

Please continue your incredible generosity for these children, especially now when they are in great need of our help during this pandemic. We are helping 100 children from 7 homes in Radom, Janów Podlaski, Manie, Drelów/Szachy, Komarno, Wyszogród. They are mainly teenagers but the youngest is 6 months old.

If you have any comments or questions, please contact Dorota (dorota@fundacjapankracy.org or 603 055 892) or Kinga (biuro@fundacjapankracy.org) from the Pankracy Foundation (https://fundacjapankracy.org/) , or Sonia from our PTA charity committee at ptacharities.tbs@gmail.com.

Ever thankful,

PTA Charity Committee
