Award from Chronimy Dzieci (Safeguarding Children)

We are very pleased to announce that we received verification this week that our school has been granted the Safeguarding Children certification awarded by Chronimy Dzieci (Safeguarding Children).

Safeguarding Children in schools

The certificate comes in recognition of the work that the school has carried out to meet a wide range of criteria encompassed by the 6 standards shown on the certificate:

Standard 1: The school has established and implemented a child protection policy.

Standard 2: The school monitors its employees to prevent any harm to the children.

Standard 3: The school provides the staff with trainings on child protection and helping children in emergencies.

Standard 4: The school provides the parents / guardians with trainings on the upbringing without violence and protection against violence and exploitation.

Standard 5: The school provides children with trainings about the rights of the child and protection against the threat of violence and exploitation.

Standard 6: The school monitors and periodically verifies the compliance with the adopted principles of child protection policy.

Meeting these standards represents a huge amount of work done over the past few years to develop our safeguarding and child protection policy, procedures and practice to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our students.

We have expanded our Safeguarding team and have senior members in each phase of our school; and we have worked hard to develop a school culture and ethos where safeguarding and child protection are given top priority, and where staff have increased awareness of safeguarding issues and concerns are dealt with appropriately and promptly.

We are very proud to receive the award (see attachment below), and will work hard to maintain these standards well into the future.
