PTA Corner

PTA Final report 2019/2020

We are a dynamic, friendly, organisation dedicated to enriching the school experience.  Every teacher and parent of an enrolled student is automatically a member, and we thank you for your support over this strange school year.  In particular to all our parent volunteers without whom none of our activities would take place.

In the time we were able to be active, we’ve continued to …

  • share our news in our “PTA corner” of the newsletter
  • welcome new families to school
  • organise informal social meetings for parents
  • work in partnership with school to deliver information coffee mornings for secondary parents
  • sort and return as much lost property as possible
  • hold termly charity collections – thank you to everybody who made donations this week and earlier in the year
  • provide a peer to peer virtual parent notice board
  • introduce a “buy & sell” area on Facebook for parents & staff

We’ve held or been part of the following events:

  • Back to school fete
  • International Fair
  • Christmas Fair
  • Family Dance
  • Burn’s Supper

We’ve celebrated:

  • Our teaching staff on Teacher’s Day
  • Mikołajki
  • Our volunteers – with a social event

And through our charitable efforts, Christmas Giving Tree and Magic Giving Tree initiatives, we have:

•             regularly supported the Warsaw Volunteer Mission’s soup kitchen

•             collected, bought and delivered 380 presents and 18 hampers to 8 locations around Poland

•             raised 34,800 PLN for charities in Poland

•             with the active support of 120 people and generous donations from the whole school community

Thank you again for such a fantastic year, we hope you have a wonderful summer and very much look forward to being an exciting part of school life next year.  We hope you’ll join us.
